Hi, Puffy Sleeves. I love you.

One of may favorite “trends” (for awhile) has been the voluminous sleeve. The obnoxious sleeve. The sleeve that might get in the salsa bowl while you reach over ( you know you’ve had a shirt sleeve get dipped in that salsa). The bigger the better, maybe, depends on the occasion. Today though we are focusing on a girly and subtle approach.

She’s old, the sweater, it’s from last year, I’ll put a picture of it below when I got it during quarantine (my hair was so short). I did a monochromatic look with linen shorts. We were in lockdown so I did a little shoot inside because I was bored and really loved it so much. However, this is a great style if you want the coziness of a sweater but the coolness of a summer look. I never did share the photos from last year except for one on my instagram feed so today we get to see a few. Then you’ll see the way I styled it this year with jeans and loafers and a beautiful scarf in my hair. I wore this outfit twice in one week cause I loved it so much.

I found a similar sweater to the one I am wearing, love the color and looks cozy. If you’re looking for a blouse this one has a subtle sleeve and perfect for spring. Or if you dare to show a bit of some skin this is a fantastic top.

I have many more shirts with this sort of shoulder sleeve detail. I think it’s a subtle approach to the puffy sleeve without being too overwhelming and obnoxious. You’ll see more dresses and shirts with sleeve voluminosity on this blog soon.

Thanks for stopping by!

xx,

jess
